Workshop on ‘The Opportunity in Construction Industry’

‘There are some things crucial to this world and without them the world would cease to exist as we currently know it. As food and water are to the individual, so is construction to society.’  On 22 July 2019, RPS International School, Sector- 50, had conducted a workshop on ‘The Opportunity in Construction Industry’. The motive of the workshop was to facilitate children to make them aware on the career possibility in the construction industries.  The speaker,                  Ms. Monalisa, an expert on the architecture, revealed several amazing facts, displaying some informative videos. The team conducted some activities involving children and asked them some questions based on the workshop at the end. The session ended with prize distribution.

House Assembly of classes I--V

The House Assembly of classes I--V was marked by the prize distribution ceremony of the Inter RPS Dance Competition held in Rewari on 20th July. It’s a moment of pride for RPS International School, Sector-50 to bag two trophies, 3rd position and 'Best Make up ' in the competition. The school principal and headmistress felicitated the young performers for the same . The happy moment culminated with the Headmistress encouraging students to keep up the good work.

3rd position in Intra RPS dance competition

The versatile dance of RPS Sector-50, proved their mettle in Intra RPS dance competition where they set the stage on fire with their enchanting moves. Along with 3rd position they won the hearts of the audience with their gleaming smiles. The RPS team also brought laurels for the ‘Best Make Up’. All we will say is that 'It is just the beginning; we have moves miles to go.'

Morning assembly by Class IV-A3 on the theme 'Childhood - Then and Now'

"Childhood is a part of life that creates beautiful memories. It’s a journey and not a race". Class IV-A3, students of RPS International School, Sector-50 conducted the morning assembly based on the theme 'Childhood - Then and Now'. The happy journey of grandparents’ childhood was showcased and compared with the present time childhood through a musical drama. Followed by this, the golden rules of happy childhood were explained to the children by the class teacher. The assembly was culminated by the School Headmistress- Ms. Nikieta Baheti, by advising the children to follow the golden rules of happy childhood.

Club’s Activitie

The students of classes I to V enjoyed and learned new skills in the ‘Wednesday Club’ through different activities held today. The children of Theatre club did some warm up exercises to get energized and introduced themselves through an ice breaking activity. The students were informed about ‘First Aid Treatment and Safety’, with the help of enactment and First Aid Box in the Life skills club whereas the little ones expressed their creativity by making a bookmark and learnt h ow to use it in the ‘Creative Expression club’. Similarly, students expressed their creativity in the ‘IT club’ in making rainbow, flowers, bricks, grass by using Tux Paint.  ‘Number Magic club’, students did activities on place value, face value and multiplication using blocks and smart board. ‘The Cooking Without Fire club’, saw the children make cheese mad triangles. An assembly was held today by the Primary Wing on the theme "Be a rainbow in someone's else cloud'. The recitation of Gayatri Mantra and other regular features of the assembly were followed by a beautiful skit and dance show staged by class V students. Medals and certificates of Spell Bee International competition were distributed among the winners . Aditya Sehgal of class V was awarded as school topper in overall Spell Bee International competition. With this motivational spirit the assembly was concluded by singing the national anthem.

Sudoku activity

Sudoku is a logic based numerical puzzle .Though the solving rules are simple, the reasoning power behind the correct solution can be very difficult. The complexity of each puzzle can be adapted to fit any age. Sudoku activity was performed today in the school where children were given Sudoku puzzles to solve; Students by their critical thinking used different methods to solve a Sudoku puzzle using logical reasoning. Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish. It is a game of boxes but children exposed to think outside the boxes. All students enjoyed solving Sudoku puzzles to the fullest and was a productive use of time.

An educational exhibition

We at RPS know that education becomes all the more effective when it comes to “learning by doing”. An educational exhibition was conducted by RPSians today on the importance of Solar Energy – an infinite resource. They showcased the uses of this renewable source in generating electricity at a low cost. Students explained the process of installing the Solar Power panels on the roof tops through their working models. They displayed and explained the solar energy technology in a very practical and effective way. All knows without Sun there will be no life on Earth. It was an enriching experience that made everyone aware of the usage of Solar energy in generating electricity ,Making solar heaters, cookers and a lot more in a practical and remarkable way.

The Mango Festival : Interhouse Chef Competition

Mango is arguably the most loved fruit in India. To celebrate this love, a mango festival was organised in RPS International School, Sector 50. It was an Interhouse Chef competition between the Primary and Middle Wing students. Our upcoming chefs shared the recepies of different kinds of mango based desserts, main course dishes, shakes by adding their own touch. ... RPSians were at their enthusiastic best. It was a neck-to-neck fight in culinary skills which was real fun to watch. The judges were the Principal and Head Mistress of the school. Every child utilized his/her skill to excel but certainly someone has to be crowned as the winner. Kalpana Chawla House won the first prize. Second position was bagged by Mother Teresa House. Abdul Kalam and Ramanjuan House held third and fourth position respectively in the primary wing. In the middle wing, the winner was Ramanujan House and Kalpana Chawla House. ‘Personalized welcome of students after summer Break’

RPS International School, Sector 50 Gurugram buzzed with excitement and there was a vibgyoric ambience on Monday,8 July,2019 as the teachers welcomed the students after summer break. It was a moment to reverberate them with a sense of novelty, eagerness and aspiration. Ms Pranu led morning exercise emphasizing the importance of work out in students’ life. Ruchi Madan introduced the theme of special assembly. Afterward, a group of teachers chanted the Gayatri Mantra and covert ... ly taught them significance of spirituality that helps students in developing the concentration and memory. Ms Shruti and Ms Savita Bhardwaj facilitated them with ‘thoughts of the day’. Ruchi Madan introduced a musical drama depicting the theme which was enacted by Ms Pooja, Ms Dimple, Ms Shaoni, Ms Preeti and Mr Ravinder. Fire Evacuation training session for school safety

Fire safety is the most important consideration of a building safety. In the last few years , until 2017, India has recorded an average of over 2000  deaths annually  due to fire accidents. Fire safety means the precautions that can be taken to prevent or reduce the probability of fire which may result in damage, injury or even casualties. A training session in this regards was conducted in our school by "Mace Group", a UK based company. Mock drill was conducted to make everyone aware about how to act in cases of emergencies. In a dire situation, usually people die of being panic and not because of fire. If we remember "Fire Suppression Techniques" during high rising temperature, lack of oxygen or getting chocked, we can save ourselves and others too. Fire destruction is a one Man's job but Fire prevention is Everybody's job.
