INTRA RPS Spell Bee Competition

“Spelling is important because it aids in cementing the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.” In the time and age of auto-correct, predictive text and spell check, the Intra RPS Spell- Bee competition for Grade III students held at RPS International School, Sector-50, Gurugram on 30th November, 2019 came as a whiff of fresh breeze. The competition commenced by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Dr. Pavitra Rao-Chairperson, RPS Group of Schools, School Principal and the Headmistress. Students from 8 branches of RPS participated with great enthusiasm and dueled through the toughest words to prove their mettle. The competition consisted of 6 rounds. The rounds included Word Drill, Magic of Phonic Sounds, Visual Extravaganza, Guess the Word, Pronounce it Right and One Word Wonder. All rounds of the Spell Bee held the audience ‘spellbound’, with almost all of the 16 participants spelling most of the words correctly.  Even the toughest words were spelt with unflinchin

Field trip to Heritage Transport

"Field trips can create wonder and excitement for learning." To experience the same our solicitous children of class 1 visited the 'HERITAGE TRANSPORT MUSEUM' on 29th November 2019; where they could co- relate their classroom learning with the real world. The collection in museum focuses on the development of transportation in India. The students were thrilled to see beautiful Palanquins, different types of saddles, invention of wheels, vintage cars, steam engines, trams, luxury trains, airplane, different types of water transport and the future bike, created a lot of excitement in them. A wonderful learning experience indeed!

Field trip to De Adventure Park

It was a fun filled day in the adventure diaries of RPSians when students of class III to V embarked upon the journey to a thrill land called "De Adventure Park". Located in the lush green vicinity in country side with action packed adventure activities and rides. This place had all what it takes to make a memorable day. Kids started their day with sumptuous breakfast and got energised to take on the fun filled challenges.They did many thrilling activities like Burma Bridge, Commando net, Sky Cycling, Zorb Ball Walk, Commando Crawl, Rope Walking and many more indulging team activities. Sumptuous food, trained staff and music with dance made it a big hit among all. We came back empty on energies but heart full of unforgettable memories to be cherished and shared.

Field trip to Fun Box

"Playing is such an important part of the healing process. Our spirit needs to frolic, So, we can return to innocence." With this beautiful thought our enthusiast children of class Disney to II visited the vibrant play area ' OH MY GAME - FUN BOX' on Wednesday, 27 Nov'19. It was well equipped and offered a wide range of amusement activities to keep our children engaged and entertaining. It was a perfect arena where suspense, fun, excitement and adventure all came together and created memorable moments which our children will cherish forever. They also had scrumptious meal with their peers and learnt about team building too. It was truly a beautiful day!  

Assembly by 1A2

When small yet important reiterations come from young little ones, it leaves a big impact on minds. Today's Assembly led by class 1 A2 of Primary wing presented their thoughts on ‘Colours and their importance’. Colours are everywhere and in everything. Each colour stands for its unique essence and significance. The message of staying happy and spreading happiness was received with an applaud by the audience. During the Assembly we presented awards to the ‘Hindi Handwriting  Competition’ and ‘Budding Scientists’ competition winners. Our Head Mistress ma'am did the honours and shared her thoughts while appreciating the students and their mentors.

Yoga session for Teachers “The most important pieces of equipment you need for doing yoga are your body and mind.” The faculty at RPS International School, Sector 50 Gurugram used these equipments to the best in an invigorating and refreshing yoga session organised right in the morning. The Deptt. of Physical Education including Mr.Vijay Kumar, Ms. Pranu and Mr. Raj addressed the teachers on the importance of yoga and demonstrated some asanas to help the teachers remain fit and healthy. In addition to it, some heart strengthening tips were also given. The teachers performed various 'asanas' under the able guidance of these experts. It was a much needed session on how to keep fit and the teachers certainly made the best of it.
