Basant Panchami

Basant Panchmi is a Hindu festival that marks the arrival of spring. The festival is also referred to as Saraswati Puja. Prayers are offered and Goddess Saraswati is worshipped as the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, art and culture in India. People all over India celebrate the day by wearing yellow-coloured clothes and distributing sweets. To celebrate Basant Panchami and emphasize its importance,various activities were organised for the Primary wing students of RPS International School. The students of Grades I, II and III took part in a singing competition. Students participated with full enthusiasmand showcased their vocal prowess. Painting activity was held for the students of Grades IV and V which elicited the true essence of Basant Panchami through their vibrant art work.

Republic Day

On 26th January 1950, the Constitution of India came into effect. It was written by perceptive leaders who patently represented the diversity of our country. On this day, our nation was declared as a newly formed Republic. To celebrate the Republic day and emphasize its importance, various activities were organised for the children of primary wing, who were overflowing with patriotism. The students of grade I showcased their creativity and nationalist sentiment by crafting tricolour badges out of eco-friendly materials. The activity ‘ Design a stamp on the theme ‘Unity in Diversity’ was held for the students of grade 2 and 3, which helped them express fraternity despite differences amongst each other. The students of grade 4 and 5 spoke their hearts out when they made their speech on the topic ‘What Freedom Means to Me’.
