National Mathematics Day

 22nd December is celebrated as the National Mathematics Day, on the birth anniversary of the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.The day is recognised to commemorate his contribution in the field of mathematics.

The children of grade 1A1 conveyed the importance of National Mathematics Day, by organising a special assembly.The assembly started with a prayer, followed by the thought of the day and a new word , "Measurement".It emphasized the utility of Mathematics beyond the classrom and that it is found in day to day life.A simple and meaningful act was performed on the topic money where the real objects were used to show how it can be easy and fun to remember numbers and it's value. This made the Math day celebration a fruitful experience for the students.
